Jezebel Is A Ruling Spirit in Satan

It would take many books to cover the subject of Jezebel and Ahab fully, and we can only hope to share some of the major things about these evil spirits.  Although these spirits, by other names, were perhaps among the very first to be revealed in the Bible, the story of Jezebel and Ahab serves to give us insight on how these spirits manifest themselves and how to combat them.  King Ahab broke God's laws by marrying Jezebel, a non-Israelite who worshipped Babylonian gods and goddesses.  **  God considers him the most evil king ever.  **  He soon became an ardent worshipper of his wife’s deities.  ***  Jezebel was a beautiful woman and Ahab was a pushover for such.  He gave way to sexual lust and loved to participate in ceremonial sex orgies that were part of the worship of Ashteroth, the demon wife of Baal (Baal is the general name given to Babylon’s male deities).  ** (groves)   Jezebel was the chief priestess of the cult of Ashtorah **, which featured temple prostitution, ceremonial orgies, and all manner of sexual promiscuity, including incest, pornography, adultery, fornication, infant sacrifice and disdain for marriage.  So it is with Ahab-infested men today, who love pornography, masturbation, fornication, adultery and a host of other sexual activities.  Ahab’s marriage to Jezebel was a union made in hell.  Keep in mind that the extent to which both men and women are involved in the activities associated with these spirits depends on the intensity level or strength of the spirits living in them.

The spirit of Jezebel is a ruler in Satan's kingdom; perhaps of the highest rank among Satan’s strong men.  Truth be told, that devil existed long before Jezebel came on the scene, as we will find later.  Her predecessors, one of which was the original queen of Babylon, was called the goddess of a thousand names, including Astar, Cybele, Queen of Heaven, Virgin Mother of God, Madonna, Pele, Mother Kali, Kwan Yin, Easter, and Mother of Wisdom and all mankind. That spirit (we will refer to it as a “she” for convenience sake) is a spirit of witchcraft, mind control, manipulation and a nest of related spirits.  Of course, the companion spirit to Jezebel is the spirit of Ahab.  Men can have Jezebel too, but perhaps 95% of the time, it dwells in women.  You can read about Jezebel and Ahab in 1 Kings 16:25 to the end of 1 Kings 22:53.  Go to my Spiritual Warfare Manual and to the chapter on the Spirit of Jezebel on my website:  www.lightoftheworldmissions.com.

Women with the spirit of Jezebel are demanding, controlling and manipulative.  However, she can be seemingly soft-spoken and clinging but in the final analysis, she always gets her way.  Such women have rejection, unforgiveness and bitterness against male authority.  Mother is very often a person with that spirit too - controlling and manipulative.  She's the boss of the family.  Father is laid back, nice guy and in his own world.  He is also a victim of rejection.  Women tend to counter rejection by becoming controlling, manipulative and aggressive, while men tend to have many fears and become non-aggressive, lack ambition, are lazy and irresponsible.  A Jezebel wife does it all.  Jezebel usually marries a man who has the Ahab spirit in him.  She needs someone to play the clown.  He is a nice guy, but wife is the spiritual one.

Jezebel in the church loves to cozy up to the pastor or leaders.  Her intent is to control the church.  Remember, it's the spirit and not the woman, although she is the one that gives in.  Here are many holy and righteous women, but Jezebel is self-promoting and self-glorifying.  She desires to rule.  She will attend almost every meeting, promote her spiritual ideas and is known as a spiritual one.

Before you can cast this spirit out, you may have to first cast out her servants - subordinate spirits under the control of this ruler spirit.  She is the queen and has many spirits under her, such as unforgiveness, hatred of father, hatred of men, bitterness, rejection, rebellion, fear of men and other spirits related to rejection and the root of bitterness.  She will push her subordinates to the surface while she hides in the dungeon.  She is sometimes seen as an overweight, naked woman with attendants combing her hair and fussing with her.  At other times, she is seen as a black-widow spider with the face of a beautiful woman with dark black hair and red lips.

In the Bible, Jezebel was a murderous spirit who killed Naboth in order to steal his vineyard and the reins of the kingdom at the same time.  Ahab tacitly gave approval and his seal to Jezebel because he had no guts or brains to get the vineyard of Naboth himself.  Instead, he pouted and would not eat when Naboth refused him.  1 Ki. 21:1-5.  Ahab men are crybabies and ineffective compared to Jezebel.  Jezebel will do just about anything to take over control of family, church and workplace and to accomplish her goals.  She is ambitious, intelligent and aggressive.  She thinks most men, including husband, are either stupid or wimps.  1 Ki. 21:1-20.  God’s kingdom order is reversed in an Ahab-Jezebel family.

Spiritually, you have to also go after the spirit of Ahab in the husband.  He's the one that allows Jezebel to operate in his wife.  An Ahab husband could be physically strong and manly, but inside, he is a Momma's boy and hates to fight and argue with his wife, so he takes the easy way out and caves in to her most of the time.  The children of this relationship are often confused.  The daughters often take after their mother and the sons after father.  Daughters may become lesbians and sons homosexuals.  Divorce is prevalent in the family and mother is the spiritual head instead of father, who was called by God to be the head priest of the family.  Eph. 5:22.  He capitulates and allows Jezebel to rule by default because Ahab is irresponsible and passes the buck.  God dealt with King Ahab long before He brought judgment against Jezebel.  In the end, the men will be held responsible by God.

In Satan's kingdom, the women rule.  There are ten female witches for every male.  But, not to worry; Satan and Ahab have plans.  They are just temporarily using the women for their own gain.  When the time is ripe, they will toss the Jezebel women aside.  Rev. 17:16.  Ahab men use Jezebel wives to shelter them against having to go out into the world and confront all their inner fears.

The ease of casting out Jezebel depends on how strong this Jezebel spirit is.  On a scale from 1 to 10, a five is fairly strong and an eight is into Satanism and out and out witchcraft.  A woman with this spirit must really desire to be rid of this insidious demon or demons.  Sometimes, this spirit will pretend that it has left, but really hasn't.  She will kick out some lesser spirit in her place and then hide.

Jezebel is a very intelligent and cunning spirit.  She can make a person very intelligent.  My pastor related that his once  had a 14 year old girl in his church.  She could multiply five numbers by another  five numbers and give the answer in seconds.  When Jezebel was cast out, she had difficult multiplying two numbers by two other numbers.  Jezebel rules the roost.  In the church, she strives for recognition and control, desiring to take over the prayer ministry, Sunday School, music, etc.  She craves attention and worship.  Spiritually, she kills the prophets and priests, as in the days of Elijah the prophet.  Jezebel killed as many of God's prophets and priests as she could find.  1 Ki. 18:13.  If the affected woman is beautiful, she can be a seducer of men and male leaders.  She works to kill and destroy the church and leadership.  But no one sees her.  “None seeth me.”  Is. 47:** She is often behind every church division, discord and split.  She is a gossiper or talebearer that brings strife.  Pr. 26:20.

Jezebel loves to control the church through prophecies.  She calls herself a prophetess.  Rev. 2:20.  I once had a Jezebel woman in the audience stare at me and grey worms of death came out of her eyes and floated to me behind the podium.  In the spiritual realm, she sends death against the prophet and priest.  She will use money, flattery and seduction where possible, to gain control of the church.  She desires recognition to be able to control.

God hates this spirit.  In Revelation 2:18-29, He promises to destroy Jezebel and all of her children.  Rev. 2:19-23.  God promises that all who overcome will have power over the nations, "and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.  And I will give him the morning star."  Rev. 26-28.  Church leaders who cannot handle Jezebel cannot handle nations either.  It takes a strong and seemingly ruthless determination to rid the church and members of this ugly spirit.  **

This spirit is a ruler spirit in Satan's kingdom.  Books have been written about this spirit and we can only give but limited insight.  She is thought of as synonymous with Babylon the Great, although the latter is more a worldwide demonic system of witchcraft with many facets.  In ancient Babylon, women were the true spiritual and political leaders in a matriarchal society.  They called the shots.  When the Israelites were living in Babylon during the captivity, they worshipped the Queen of Heaven.  Jer. 44:17-19.  Her names include "the Virgin" and "Madonna."  Is. 47:1, 5.  Madonna is the Latin for “Lady.”  She claims that she is God and there is no other.  She seduces God's people and deceives them into worshipping and following  her.  Is. 47:8; Rev. 2:**  She is also the spirit of witchcraft.  Is. 47:9-13.  All forms of witchcraft and the occult come out of this spirit, including fortune-telling, astrology, tarot cards, spells, hexes, vexes and so forth.

"Ishtar" or “Easter” is one of her other names.  Ishtar is the Babylonian spirit of witchcraft and fertility, whose signs are colored eggs and bunnies.  Christmas is the birthday of her son, called Tammuz, the sun god of Babylon, who is born on the winter solstice of each year (December 23-25) and whose signs are green trees cut out of the forest, stood upright in the house, and decked with silver and gold.  The Babylonians gave gifts to one another to celebrate Tammuz' birthday.  Jer. 10:1-5.  Both Catholics and Protestants now worship Babylonian gods and goddesses instead of the Jesus in the Bible.  None of these celebrations are in the Bible and neither Christmas nor Easter were celebrated by the early church for over 325 years until the Roman Catholic Church was formed.  Read the books of Jewish historians, Josephus and Eusebius.

God mentions the worship of Tammuz in Ezekiel 8:14-16.  It is such an abomination to God that He calls six angels with destroying weapons, one with an inkhorn.  He commands the angel with the inkhorn to mark the foreheads of only those "men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.  And to the others He said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.  then they began at the4 ancient men where were before the house.   And He said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth.  And they went forth, and slew in the city."  Eze. 9:1-7.  God has not changed.  He is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever."  Heb. 13:8.

We find mention of the mark of God on the foreheads of God's true servants in Rev. 7:3 and Rev. 9:4.  God instructs His angels not to harm those with His mark on their forehead at the end of the age and during Tribulation.  Could it be that the church is worshipping Ishtar and Tammuz?  If so, we're in big trouble with God.

There is so much more to be said about this spirit.  The first Ahab and Jezebel were Adam and Eve when they rebelled against God.  Adam was laid back and allowed his wife, Eve, to make her own decision regarding the forbidden fruit and did not stop her.

Deliverance from this spirit can be quite daunting; but God will anoint those that desire to do battle against this spirit.  Start off by having this woman forgive everyone that hurt her in the past, especially father and other male figures.  Break the curses that come from unforgiveness and down the generations.  Have her repent of any controlling, manipulative behavior and witchcraft.  Bind up and cast out rejection, unforgiveness, bitterness, fear of men, hatred of men, sexual abuse, etc.  If she was a Roman Catholic, break all vows and dedications made over her to the Virgin Mary.  Have her destroy all statues of the Virgin Mary, Jesus or any other religious figure or painting such as Last Supper, Bleeding Heart and Mary.  We are commanded not to make any graven or other image of things in heaven, on earth and under the earth.  She needs to sincerely want to be set free.  Sometimes, you can go directly against Jezebel, but at other times, it will be a fierce battle.  This spirit usually hides until you get under her skin in battle.  She hides in the marrow of the spine.  Some people think that she is also the spirit of Kundalini, a Hindu spirit that is a serpent of 7-1/2 coils living at the base of the spine.  When Jezebel comes out, she will come out with wailing or screaming.  When you hear screaming during deliverance, it is usually Jezebel or witchcraft.

Don't be afraid of this spirit.  God is on your side.
