All Nations Are Deceived

ALL NATIONS ARE DECEIVED

By Dr. Richard Ing

Just about every nation on earth has turned their back to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Each country has its own sins and iniquities and most Christian leaders are both blind and rebellious in their own way.  Americans are so engrossed in the good life and their ivory tower mentalities that they almost totally ignore what is going on in the rest of the world. Anything beyond the borders of America is irrelevant to them.  Mexico, Central and South America are thriving, highly populated and richly cultured, but most Americans could care less.  In fact, what goes on in Japan and Western Europe is only of passing interest as well, along with the rest of the world.  Decades of great prosperity have given each succeeding generation an even larger sense of superiority, indifference and arrogance.  So what if the world is at the edge of a nuclear cliff and international banks are tottering?  We are invincible.  That's what Judah thought in the days of Jeremiah before Babylon came crashing through its gates.

Many nations are too poor and powerless to play any significant role in the affairs of the world at large.  They are "slave" nations to the powers that be.  All nations are in the grip of the evil one and Satan is about to spring his trap that he so determinedly and carefully prepared and laid out over the centuries.   Slowly but surely, a world now obsessed with Mammon has taken Satan's bait one piece at a time until almost all have finally entered the devil's lair.  The body is almost all the way in and perhaps only the tail remains outside.  But the devil is greedy too and he wants every bit before he slams the door shut.  Darkness has steadily fallen and light is almost completely gone, but the world does not notice.  It can only see what is in front of its greedy eyes as its snorts and grunts its way in.  America may be the head and eyes and other countries the rear and tail, but they are all in it together.  The merchants of the world will one day stand afar off and cry, "Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.  And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more."  Rev. 18:10-11.

Satan's system of witchcraft takes on different colors and hues and different perceptions to a senseless world, like the story of the six blind men who touched different parts of an elephant.  The blind man who wraps his arms around a leg says the elephant is like a pillar; the one who grabs the ear says the elephant is like a big hand fan; the one holding the tail thinks the elephant is like a rope; the one who leans on the belly says the elephant is like a wall; the one feeling the trunk perceives the elephant is like a tree branch; and the one who touches the tusk says the elephant is like a pipe.

Abortion is one part of Satan's kingdom, mind-altering drugs another.  Sexual promiscuity and freedom may be one nation's Babylon, while homosexuality or murder and violence is another's.  Witchcraft or greed may dominate a different part of the world, but they are all part of the same demonic system.

All the nations have turned away from the true God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and many Christians bemoan the fact.  Some Christian leaders preach loudly and frequently about it - evangelize more, pray more, give more, sacrifice more, fast more, be more dedicated to the church, be more holy and righteous, worship God more, keep His commandments, go to church more, support righteous politicians, and so forth.   But as in the days of Jeremiah, "they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness."   Jer. 23:14.  " . . . (A)nd they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we committed against the Lord our God?"  Jer. 16:10.  We don't even recognize or acknowledge our own sins and iniquities any more.  Why would God bring judgment against His own people?  We are doing so great.  More Christians are coming to Jesus every day.  We have mega churches, we are being blessed materially by God and there are billions of Christians around the world.  God must be pleased.  Their eyes cannot see, their ears cannot hear.

As in the days of Jeremiah, "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and My people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?"  Jer. 5:31.  The teachers (the word for "prophet" is also defined as "teacher") give false doctrines and prophecies and the pastors rule by their own means, techniques and skills and do not hear from God.  They do their own thing and the people love it.  "But there are false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring dammnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."  2 Pet. 2:1.  "For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."  Ro. 16:18.

Meanwhile, Satan and his kingdom of Babylon are running wild, unopposed by God's people for the most part.  Many Christians don't even believe that there is a Satan or that there are evil spirits, or that Christians can have demons.  They are blind and deceived by the false doctrines and practices of a church in love with itself.  Darkness covers their eyes while Satan's strong men of greed, witchcraft, antichrist, pride, hatred, murder and violence are running amuck, laughing and plundering at will.  Because we have turned our backs to God, He has sent great delusion on His own people, that they might believe lies.  "Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace ("prosperity"); whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul."   Jer. 4:10.  "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." 2 Th. 2:10-11.

When God Himself sends strong delusion to His own people so that we believe lies, the church is in big trouble.  We can no longer discern good and evil.  The spring on Satan's trap door is sprung.
