Senior Pastor Richard B. W. Ing
Pastor Richard B. W. Ing was born and raised in Hawaii where he resides today. He was a civil engineer before graduating from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. He recently retired from law practice. He also owned several businesses, including a real estate firm, travel agency, collection agency and bi-monthly newspaper. Dr. Ing has been married to his first sweetheart, Beatrice, for over forty-one years. They have four children. Two are attorneys and two work for the State of Hawaii.
As a child, Pastor Ing was an Episcopalian, then a Baptist. He became born again in a deliverance ministry in 1983. He threw himself wholeheartedly into reading the Bible, serving and praying and became an elder in eight months. Two years later, he had a vision in which he was in a company of soldiers dressed in combat uniform and packed into a small building. He recognized it as a training field auditorium he sat in when he took basic training in the U.S. Army. He saw himself walk down the steep steps to the front where he stood behind a wooden podium facing the troops. Three men stood to his left. He then heard a voice say, “Son, I want you to teach my army!”
When he began teaching spiritual warfare and deliverance in Fiji, Vanuatu and other countries, people would often see angels and white horses. Pastor Ing has given many small (two to three hundred attending) crusade meetings in the remote provinces of the Philippines where God would deliver and heal many and thousands would come to the Lord. In 1995, he partnered with Pastor (Dr.) Mauro Goze to begin a missionary outreach in the Philippines.
In 1998, as he was teaching at a Bible college in one of the northernmost provinces of the Philippines, the entire class suddenly fell to the floor and one of his workers had a vision of a huge rice field stretching out as far as the eyes could see. The stalks were so full of grain that they almost touched the ground, but they were still green. The rice then turned into people in white robes. The worker opened her eyes and saw a huge angel standing on the stage with a scroll in his hands. He announced that a great revival was coming to that area. Many smaller angels were flying under the ceiling.
Dr. Ing found out later that many have prophesied that the last and greatest revival would start in the northern provinces of the Philippines. Three years later, Dr. Ing re-visited the Bible College and his wife and three other members saw the same angel with two smaller angels on his right and two on his left. Since then, Dr. Ing has concentrated on the Philippines and made over thirty-five trips there.
He has been the senior pastor of Light of the World Missions in Hawaii since 1989. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree besides a Jurisdoctorate, a Master of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science degree, and is the vice-president of New Covenant International Seminary and Bible College, with over two hundred affiliated Bible colleges around the world. He has authored five books on various Bible subjects and his book entitled Spiritual Warfare is a national best-seller. It has been translated into Spanish, German, Italian and Bulgarian.
Dr. Ing and Dr. Goze operate a Bible College, Mission House, Vocational Training Center and nine churches in the Philippines. He has lectured on spiritual warfare and inner healing multiple times in Fiji, Vanuatu, India, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sarawak, Bulgaria, Philippines and Mainland USA. He also lectures on house church restoration for the end times. He will be the first to tell you that only through God’s grace and mercy has he been given the privilege of seeing and experiencing the power of God in action.
Pastor Mauro Goze
Dr. Mauro Goze was born and raised in the Province of Cagayan in the Philippines. His family were rice farmers that used water buffaloes to till the land. However, early on, he was recognized for his intellectual talents. He graduated as valedictorian of his high school class and after completing regional exams was one of only two applicants given a scholarship to study in America. He graduated as an agricultural/industrial engineer and worked for fifteen years as a supervisor of a manufacturing plant in Chicago. He married his wife, Francisca, in Chicago and they have two children, a son and a daughter. Sister Fran, as she is called, is also a pastor as well as a registered nurse at Tripler Military Hospital in Honolulu. She too, was born and raised in the Philippines and studied and lived in America. Together they lead Upon This Rock Church in Waipahu, Hawaii. Mauro and Fran have lived in Hawaii for over twenty years, where Pastor Mauro has worked for the City and County of Honolulu, and was a partner in a travel agency. He was also a real estate broker for a number of years. He has been an ordained minister for over ten years and has traveled as a missionary to the Philippines over fifty times.
Pastor Mauro speaks several Filipino dialects and his knowledge of the Philippines has opened the doors for speaking engagements. Many pastors in the Philippines consider him their spiritual father. He has a passion for evangelism and has given many crusade meetings in the Philippines. During these crusade meetings, many signs and wonders have taken place as the lame walk, hunchbacks straighten, the blind see, the deaf hear and the dumb speak. Together with Pastor Ing, he helped plan and construct a Mission House, Bible College, Church, and two Vocational Training Centers in Santa Rosa, Philippines. He has accompanied Pastor Ing on many of his mission trips around the world to help teach deliverance and spiritual warfare.
Dr. Goze holds a Doctor of Theology degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Mauro spends much of his time in the Philippines overseeing the work there. He has committed his life to serving God.
